Data licensing for established businesses

Get paid for what your business already knows.

AI labs pay for real examples of skilled work, and they negotiate for it every day. We license selected records on your behalf, so you never face them alone.

  • No files or logins to start
  • You approve every term
  • You pay nothing unless a license is signed

The situation

The buyers know what it’s worth. You should too.

  • What are years of our email, files and systems actually worth?
  • Who is buying, and what will they be allowed to do with them?
  • What happens to our clients’ and employees’ information?
  • Is the first offer a fair one, and who is on our side of the table?

Data buyers do these deals every day. You probably haven’t done one. That’s the gap we close.

01 Why your records

AI has read the internet. It hasn’t done your job.

The public web is already scraped. What AI still lacks is the record of real work done well: how a request becomes a result, and the judgment calls in between.

The everyday record of how your work gets done.

Public data

Already scraped. Already trained on.

  • Forum threads and comment sections
  • News articles and blog posts
  • Product documentation and textbooks

Your business records

Private, scarce and worth paying for.

  • The proposal that won the job, and the revisions before it
  • The exception your team caught before the books closed
  • The fix that kept a customer, and the thread that found it
  • The checklist you refined over a decade

02 How it works

We sit on your side of the table.

AI labs negotiate data deals all the time. You probably never have. We bring your opportunity to them, compare what’s on offer and negotiate for you.

Bring an offer to the table.

We present your opportunity to AI labs and work to secure a licensing offer.

Work for the best available rate.

We compare available offers and negotiate price and terms on your behalf.

Manage the process for you.

We coordinate reviews, communication and next steps with the labs, so you have one point of contact.

From first conversation to signed license

Four steps, with you in control at every one. See the full process

  1. 01

    Start with a conversation

Tell us about your business, the systems you use and how far back your records go.

    No files or logins needed
  2. 02

    Agree on what’s in scope

Together we decide what’s included and what stays out. Rights and privacy are reviewed before anything is shared.

    You set the boundaries
  3. 03

    Bring offers to the table

We present your opportunity to AI labs, compare the offers and negotiate price and terms.

    We negotiate for you
  4. 04

    Approve and get paid

Nothing moves until you sign. Records are prepared and delivered under the terms you agreed.

    Your signature, your call

The license

Everything that matters is in writing.

Scope, permitted uses, retention and payment are negotiated for you and set out before anything is shared. You approve it, or you walk away.

03 Your options

You could do this alone. You don’t have to.

There are a few ways to license business records. Here’s how representation compares.

05 Estimate your value

What could your records be worth?

Four quick questions, an indicative range, about a minute. Nothing is sent until you choose to share it.

01 How many people work at your company?
02 How many years of digital records do you keep?
03 Which of these does your team use?

Select all that apply.

04 What industry are you in?

06 Privacy & control

Your records. Your terms.

You approve the terms. Rights and privacy are reviewed before any records are shared.

  • Nothing moves without your signature
  • You choose the systems, dates and folders in scope
  • People and companies are replaced, not just blacked out
  • Legal, HR, payroll, tax IDs and credentials stay out

From: Dana Whitfield <dana.whitfield@harborlinefreight.com>
To: Luis Ortega

Luis, the March invoice from Kestrel Supply (INV-20419) is $1,240 over the PO. Their rep, Tom Baker, says it’s a fuel surcharge. Can you confirm before we pay from the Chase account ending 4471?

After

Sam, the March invoice from Vendor-7C1 (INV-20419) is $1,240 over the PO. Their rep, Chris Moore, says it’s a fuel surcharge. Can you confirm before we pay from the [bank account removed]?

Illustrative example with invented names and details, not real data. People and companies get the same stand-in everywhere they appear; amounts and document numbers stay because they carry the meaning; account details are removed.

07 Questions

Questions, answered.

Something we haven’t covered? Read all questions or ask us directly.

What exactly am I licensing?

Permission for AI labs to use selected business records for defined purposes, such as training and testing AI systems, under terms you approve. You are not selling your company or handing over your systems, and you keep ownership of your records.

See how it works →

Do I need to send files or give anyone access to get started?

No. A conversation is all it takes to start. We ask about your business, the systems you use and how far back your records go. Nothing is shared until there is an agreement you have approved.

Will my clients’ or employees’ information be exposed?

Protecting people comes first. Names and contact details are replaced, sensitive identifiers are removed, sensitive categories are excluded entirely, and you decide what is in scope. Rights and privacy are reviewed before any records are shared.

How records are protected →

Am I allowed to license my business records?

Often, yes, but it depends on your client agreements, confidentiality obligations and the rules in your industry. That is why rights are reviewed before any records are shared. Some records may need to stay out, and some businesses will not be a fit.

What does it cost?

Nothing up front. We are paid a success fee, a percentage of the license value, only if a license is signed. There are no retainers or hourly fees, and the first conversation and estimate are free with no obligation.

How our fee works →

Is a deal guaranteed?

No. Buyer interest depends on demand, quality and rights, and value is never guaranteed. A first conversation is the quickest way to learn whether your records are likely to attract an offer.

Advise business owners?

If you know an owner sitting on years of records, introduce them. We’ll handle the conversation and keep you in the loop.
